Who We?
From the vibrant green campus of Matihar to the diverse landscapes of Canada, our journeys as graduates of Rajshahi University (RU) are unique, yet bound by a shared heritage. We are professionals, academics, artists, and community leaders who carry the spirit of RU with us.
The Canadian Alumni Association of Rajshahi University (CAARU) was founded on a simple, powerful idea: to bring that spirit to life here in Canada. We are a non-profit, non-political, and inclusive organization built to reconnect the extended RU family, fostering a “home away from home” for every alumnus who has made Canada their new beginning.

Our vision is to be the central pillar for the Rajshahi University family across Canada. We aspire to be a thriving, lifelong network where members can find mentorship, collaborate professionally, share cultural experiences, and feel an unwavering sense of belonging.

We bridge the gap between seasoned professionals and new graduates. Our community is a valuable resource for career advice, mentorship, and professional collaboration. We host networking events and workshops to help our members thrive in the Canadian job market.
Cultural Events & Celebrations
We keep our traditions alive and create new ones. From lively summer picnics and family “Addas” to celebrating cultural milestones like ’21 February’ and ‘Sharee Events,’ we provide a space to share our heritage with our families and the wider Canadian community.
Community & Social Support
CAARU is a family. We are a support system for alumni, whether they are navigating the challenges of being new to Canada or simply looking to connect with old friends. We also provide a platform for members to promote their own businesses and services within our trusted community.
